Hello, I’m Karrie, the founder of AquaTheory.

AquaTheory was born not only from science, but from life itself. For me, beauty has always been about more than appearance, it’s about how you feel when you look in the mirror, when you step into your day, when life is unfolding in ways you can’t control.

There was a time when life was throwing me more stress than I thought I could carry. I found myself struggling to even get out of bed, let alone think about skincare or how I looked. In those moments, beauty felt like another demand, another stressor I didn’t have the energy for.

But one day, I decided to reclaim a piece of myself. I chose something simple, something intentional: a few minutes a day to try a method called skin flooding. It wasn’t complicated, it wasn’t time-consuming, but it was mine. That small ritual gave me space to breathe, to focus on me. It didn’t erase the challenges, but it changed how I faced them. It shifted my mindset from being controlled by stress to taking back control of my own well-being.

That’s when I knew: feeling beautiful shouldn’t complicate your life. It should add to your joy and your comfort, especially when life throws you a curveball.
